Desperate housewives

Desperate Housewives, House, Lost, Prison Break…

These days, if you do not follow a series, you are nobody: you will be left out of conversations at the office and, among other things, you miss out on gorgeous hunky bodies like Matthew Fox. So, now you know, get hooked to the one you like best and get up-to-speed!

Desperate housewives:

This US dramatic comedy series for television, stars leading names of the stature of Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

The story takes place against the backdrop of Wisteria Lane, a suburb of the imaginary city of Fairview, Eagle State. It follows the lives of five housewives, and their domestic affairs whilst revealing mysteries about their husbands, friends and neighbours. The general tone and style of the series combine elements which recall drama, comedy, soap opera and satire. The characters have been criticised by religious groups for their lack of moral fibre.

It gained 15 nominations for the 2005 Emmy Awards and won in 6 categories.

Lost:

Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, on its way from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, USA, crashes on a remote Pacific island. This leaves a group of survivors stranded on the island in the middle of nowhere.

As they emerge from the wreckage, the passengers realise the complexity of their situation and that it is unlikely that they will be rescued any time soon. To add to the mystery, they soon begin to notice strange happenings on the island and they come to understand that, if they wish to survive, they will have to stay together.

Prison break:

Wentworth Miller in Prison Break

Prison Break is an American drama series, first screened on Fox in August 2005. The plot revolves around a man sentenced to death for a murder he did not commit and the intricate plan, devised  Created by Paul Scheuring, the original story line and quality of the series have led to well-deserved nominations for diverse awards such as the Emmys and Golden Globes.
